Streamline Design & Equip your Mechanical Expertise with Revit MEP
Revit MEP Training & Certification Course
Introduction
Revit MEP is a building information modeling (BIM) software, meant exclusively for MEP engineering, a combination of three engineering disciplines, namely: mechanical, electrical, and plumbing. This software, a specialized version of Revit, is used for 3D design and modeling of designs in architecture, construction, plant, civil, and MEP projects. It is highly useful in conducting simulations and interference detection early in the design process and helps improve communication of design intentions before construction begins.
Scope of Course
The course teaches you how to use Revit MEP to streamline the design process. You will also learn how to add mechanical equipment to a project, create HVAC zones, add insulation, piping and more. Training will be given in the following key areas:
Work sharing
Family creation
Symbols & annotations
Mechanical design
Mechanical system & duct work
Mechanical piping system
Electrical design
Fire alarm model
Plumbing design
Drafting & detailing
Career Prospects / Job Roles
Revit MEP is being adapted worldwide to model MEP services, compute heat load calculations, check clashes within those services, and create schedules, among others. It has become an inevitable BIM CAD tool for anyone interested to get into architectural mechanical engineering. Revit MEP covers not only architectural work, but also building MEP systems, structural work, and certain civil work all within the same software. Students well versed in Revit MEP are placed as:
Revit MEP Engineer
MEP Mechanical Engineering (Revit)
Building Information Modeler - Revit MEP
Mechanical Revit designer
BIM Trainee
